‘This is the age of technology which is has made the world to look like a small valley.

Internet has got special roles to play in business and commerce. Internet has eased transactions taking less time and money to be done because distance is no longer an issue. I hope you use internet in your businesses, industries and craft shops. Today’s business world is moving on using modern technology. Internet is one of these technologies which is regarded very useful for the development of the business and commercial activities. Unfortunately, the products and services of Afghanistan which are limited to individuals have not found yet the way to global markets whereas other countries have done so through this technology or internet. I hope through internet our products and services also find their position in the international markets’. He also welcomed the guests and other participants before closing his speech.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Shafiqullah Gauhari, on behalf of GTZ spoke about internet as following:
‘It is a great pleasure for me to be a witness to such a ceremony which I congratulate for you. This ceremony reminds me of the age in Afghanistan where people used analogue technology. When people wanted to make calls from one province to another they had to wait for minutes before they got connected to the main switch board first and then to the desired extension. It needs to be mentioned when the internal wars started in Afghanistan, other countries started little by little to move towards to digitalization which now also has reached Afghanistan. We must make the greatest use of this available technology to promote our business and commerce to the level of other advanced countries’. He further praised the activities of the central council of FACT to promote and build the capacity of the craftsmen and traders of Afghanistan and promised to keep on supporting them in the future as well.
Then, the certificates were distributed by the president and vice-president of the central council of FACT, Mr. Muller, Mr. Gauhari, and the General Manager of the central council of FACT.
At the end, the graduated students were requested to come and make use of the internet services of the central council of FACT in future, as well.
